Fifteen People Rescued from Fairground Ride in Santander
SANTANDER, Spain – Santander firefighters rescued fifteen people unharmed last night after they became suspended 15 meters in the air on a fairground attraction in the city.

The rescue operation, which took place on the Top Spin ride, began shortly after 10:30 p.m. when municipal firefighters received an emergency call from the 112 service just fifteen minutes earlier. The intervention concluded around midnight, with all passengers safely brought down to the ground.
To carry out the rescue, which concluded without any injuries, firefighters used an extension ladder to reach and evacuate the trapped individuals, according to sources from the Santander City Council. The fifteen people, who had been stuck on the attraction during the city’s annual fair celebrations, were descended one by one using the ladder equipment.

The Top Spin ride, which rotates and flips passengers while suspended high above the ground, malfunctioned during the evening hours, leaving the riders stranded approximately 15 meters in the air. Emergency services responded quickly to the scene, and the operation was completed safely after approximately ninety minutes of work.

All rescued individuals were reported to be in good condition following the ordeal, with no medical attention required.
