MADRID, Spain – The National Police has had to intervene in three incidents recorded at different points in Ceuta throughout the afternoon and night of yesterday. Among them were a riot at the Loma Colmenar holding area, a stabbing between two women in the vicinity of the CETI and La Hípica, and the eviction of a dwelling in Loma Colmenar where 13 women were staying. The owner of the property was detained after, according to the information provided, she charged a sum of money per night to the women lodged there.

One of the incidents occurred at the Loma Colmenar holding area, where a riot was recorded that required the deployment of National Police officers to intervene in the area and control the situation, with the incident forcing police personnel to be mobilised given the situation generated at this point in the city.
Another of the incidents took place in the surroundings of the Temporary Stay Centre for Immigrants and La Hípica, where a stabbing occurred between two women. The police intervention took place after the confrontation between the two, although no further details have emerged so far about the specific circumstances in which the attack occurred.

Separately, the National Police carried out the eviction of a dwelling located in Loma Colmenar, where 13 women were staying, due to the numerous complaints and reports made by neighbours. The operation ended with the detention of the owner of the dwelling, who is accused of charging 30 euros per night to the women who were staying in the property. The intervention allowed the dwelling to be cleared and put an end to this situation, while the owner was detained in connection with these events.
