Illegal Moroccan Migrant Sexually Assaults Woman Hours After Arriving By Boat In Palma
PALMA, Spain – Local and National Police officers have arrested a young Moroccan man, who had arrived in Mallorca by boat just hours earlier, as the perpetrator of a sexual assault against a shopkeeper on Gabriel Roca Avenue, popularly known as the Paseo Marítimo, in Palma. The incident occurred at approximately 9.50am, when, according to the complaint filed by the victim, four young Moroccan men who had just arrived on the Balearic coast entered the commercial establishment.

Once inside the shop, the four surrounded the woman and prevented her from calling for help, after which one of the group members approached her unexpectedly, making libidinous touches on her intimate parts and kissing her against her will, leaving the woman in a state of shock. The other three positioned themselves at the door to keep watch while their companion held her under control.

After managing to break free and raise the alarm, an emergency operation was immediately activated involving officers from the Palma Local Police, Port Police and National Police. Agents deployed multiple searches and patrols in the vicinity of the Paseo Marítimo to locate those involved. Minutes later, security forces found the group at the tent facility set up by Pedro Sánchez’s government in the port area for the reception and initial care of people arriving in precarious vessels.
Three Arrested in Playa de Palma for Assault and Attempted Sexual Aggression
At that same location, National Police identified the alleged aggressor and subsequently arrested him, placing him at the disposal of the courts to answer for a crime against sexual freedom. The remaining migrants were released, though their identities were recorded and reported to the judicial authority. Investigators will now send the police report to the duty court and will also analyse security cameras from the area and the shop itself.
