Man Stabbed In Multiple Locations Near Tarragona Train Station
TARRAGONA, Spain — A man sustained multiple stab wounds in a violent assault near the Tarragona train station late Monday afternoon, prompting an immediate and extensive police response in the city’s Part Baixa neighborhood.

The attack occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. at Plaza de la Pedrera, near the corner of Calle Orosi. According to initial reports, the victim, who was shirtless at the time, was found lying on the sidewalk bleeding heavily and calling out for help after sustaining several bladed weapon injuries to his torso and other areas of his body.
The Mossos d’Esquadra, the regional police force of Catalonia, received the emergency alert and rapidly deployed multiple patrol units to the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered the injured man alone on the ground, covered in blood. A Medical Emergency System (SEM) ambulance was immediately dispatched to provide critical on-site care before transporting the victim to the nearby Hospital Joan XXIII in Tarragona for urgent medical treatment.

Preliminary medical assessments indicate that while the victim’s injuries are considered serious, they do not appear to have compromised any vital organs. However, medical professionals are conducting a more exhaustive evaluation to determine the full extent of the trauma and the victim’s overall prognosis.
