Two Stabbed, Eight Arrested After Metro Station Brawl in Madrid

A fight at the Gregorio Marañón Metro station in Madrid has left two people injured in a stabbing and eight people arrested. According to Spain’s National Police, the violent altercation broke out early on Saturday morning.

The incident happened at around 6:30 a.m., shortly after the Metro system had opened for the day. Authorities said the confrontation began inside a train carriage involving a group of people and then continued onto the station platform. The details were first reported by Telemadrid and later confirmed by sources from Madrid’s Superior Police Headquarters.

Madrid Emergency Services reported that Samur-Civil Protection teams treated two victims with knife wounds at the scene. One of the injured was taken to Gregorio Marañón Hospital with a wound to the hand. The second victim was transferred to Ramón y Cajal Hospital after suffering several stab wounds to the back. Officials described that person’s condition as serious but stable, with a guarded prognosis.
