The violence occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Carrer de Sas in the Sant Andreu district. According to the Mossos d’Esquadra, the shooting was the culmination of a heated verbal altercation between several individuals in the street. During the confrontation, one of the men involved drew a firearm and discharged it multiple times, striking two of the other participants before escaping.
The gunfire left one man in serious condition, though medical personnel have indicated that his injuries are not life-threatening. A second victim sustained minor wounds during the attack. The suspect managed to flee the area immediately after the shooting. Officers from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Mossos d’Esquadra have assumed control of the case and launched an extensive search operation in the surrounding neighborhoods to locate the fugitive. Investigators are currently operating under the hypothesis that the shooting was the violent resolution of a private dispute between the individuals involved, and they are working to establish the exact motives behind the confrontation.
This latest outbreak of gun violence marks the second shooting incident in the Catalan capital within a span of just four days, highlighting a sudden spike in armed conflicts in the city. The previous incident occurred on the evening of the Sant Joan festival in an apartment located in the historic Born district in the city center. While that confrontation did not result in any physical injuries, it led to the arrest of two individuals in what authorities believe was a violent settling of scores related to drug trafficking operations.
