A 17-year-old boy has died after being stabbed by another young man riding an electric scooter in Madrid. Spain’s National Police are investigating the homicide, which took place in the Puente de Vallecas district, authorities reported on Friday.

The attack happened at around 3:00 p.m. on Vizconde de Arlesson Street, near the Entrevías commuter train station. According to police sources, the teenager was walking with his girlfriend when he was suddenly assaulted. The attacker, who was traveling on a scooter, allegedly stabbed him twice in the back before fleeing the scene.

The victim, identified by the initials D.A.S.V., was born in 2008. He was a Spanish national of Honduran origin, according to official sources. Officers from the Citizen Assistance Group were the first to arrive and immediately began resuscitation efforts while waiting for emergency medical teams. However, paramedics later confirmed that the teenager had died from the injuries he sustained.

Investigators are currently considering the possibility that the killing was linked to a feud between rival youth gangs. Sources close to the investigation told the EFE news agency that the victim may have been associated with the Trinitarios gang, while the suspected attacker could belong to the Ñetas.

Specialists from the Violent Crimes Unit of the Scientific Police also attended the scene to gather forensic evidence. The case is now being handled by the Homicide Unit’s Group V, which is leading the ongoing investigation.
