BADAJOZ – A young girl was injured after being struck by a stray bullet in the playground of her school in Badajoz on Tuesday.
11-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Stabbed in Villanueva de la Cañada
The incident occurred at the San José de Calasanz school while the girl was outside participating in regular school activities. She was hit in the leg by a projectile of unknown origin. It remains unclear whether the shot was fired directly at her or if she was struck by a ricochet. The National Police have launched an investigation into the shooting. The girl was immediately taken to hospital for medical evaluation. According to the Extremadura Health Service (SES), she is being treated at the University Hospital of Badajoz. Her condition is stable and her prognosis is favorable.
