MADRID, Spain – National High Court magistrate Santiago Pedraz has summoned former judge Luis José Sáenz de Tejada as an investigated person in the case of the alleged PSOE dirty operations network. This is the man Leire Díez turned to in an attempt to bring down the case against the prime minister’s brother, and besides carrying out actions such as filing lawsuits or attempting to recuse the judge in the David Sánchez case, Sáenz de Tejada allegedly contacted a drug-trafficking clan in Badajoz to propose an attack on the investigating judge, Beatriz Biedma, as the clan’s leader, Cintia Rocho, told the Civil Guard’s Central Operational Unit.
Feijóo Asks Sánchez Who Gave The Order To ‘Get Rid’ Of Judge Biedma
Santiago Pedraz considers this former magistrate, expelled from the judiciary after being convicted in a gender violence case, responsible for four possible crimes: criminal organisation, slander, coercion and crimes against moral integrity. The National High Court judge has scheduled his interrogation for 28 October at 10.30am, the same day he will take a statement as a witness from Raúl Montano Hermosell, lawyer of the Los Rocho leader. Pedraz took this decision on Tuesday, the same day judge Beatriz Biedma requested the indictment of Sáenz de Tejada and the testimony of four witnesses, though Pedraz’s ruling is not a response to Biedma’s request for measures, as she has also sought other witness statements. The taking of Sáenz de Tejada’s statement is presented as a necessary step to investigate the attacks by the alleged dirty operations on the investigator in the David Sánchez case.
The investigation must still determine how far Sáenz de Tejada’s actions against Biedma went and whether they were supervised, coordinated or orchestrated by Leire Díez and the alleged socialist dirty operations. In her statement last week, judge Biedma told the court that someone organised surveillance against her, also explaining that she had managed to confirm with Cintia Rocho’s lawyers that Sáenz de Tejada intended to get her out of the way, though she admitted she has no information connecting the former magistrate’s actions with the alleged Ferraz dirty operations.
Before references to the Los Rochos clan appeared in the case, investigators had already revealed that the alleged PSOE dirty operations sought help from Sáenz de Tejada to try to destabilise the case against Pedro Sánchez’s brother, one of several judicial proceedings targeted by the alleged criminal organisation. Leire Díez and her partner Javier Pérez Dolset turned to this judge expelled from the judiciary precisely because his animosity towards Biedma had been public for years, with the judge in the David Sánchez case stating in several filings that Sáenz de Tejada has published dozens of videos against her on YouTube. The alleged PSOE political fixer reached Sáenz de Tejada through a businessman charged with fraud in the hydrocarbons sector, Joaquín Parra, who held two meetings with her at Javier Pérez Dolset’s house in Tarifa in early summer 2024, and in August Díez, Dolset, Parra and Sáenz de Tejada formed the WhatsApp group Holidays and Travel.
Through this channel they organised a meeting so that Sáenz de Tejada could provide information or strategies to affect Biedma’s reputation, with one of the first ideas being that the former magistrate take over David Sánchez’s defence in order to recuse, or remove from the case, Biedma. This was discussed during a meeting held at a property on Calle Diego de León in Madrid, a PSOE safe house according to Díez and Dolset, with another initiative arising from the meeting being the filing of lawsuits against Biedma and other Badajoz judges before the State Attorney General’s Office. Tejada filed a first complaint on 21 October 2024, apparently reviewed by Leire Díez and Santos Cerdán according to the UCO, and although the State Attorney General’s Office declared it lacked competence to open the matter, Tejada sent a burofax to the attorney general in November recounting the case and reiterating the complaint, with the Prosecutor’s Office replying two days later and this time deciding to refer the complaint to the Superior Prosecutor’s Office of Extremadura for study and, where appropriate, the corresponding proceedings.
Judge Biedma Says She Learned From A Drug Clan That The PSOE Wanted To Get Rid Of Her
The various actions addressed at that meeting have been investigated in recent months at the National High Court, but Sáenz de Tejada’s contacts with Los Rochos remained outside the investigation until a few weeks ago, when in July various journalistic reports came to light about the former magistrate’s approach to this Badajoz drug clan. Following these reports, judge Biedma asked Cintia Rocho’s lawyers for explanations, and they confirmed that Sáenz de Tejada proposed to the matriarch getting Biedma out of the way, something Cintia Rocho rejected, with the investigator in the David Sánchez case recounting all this to Santiago Pedraz last Thursday. The reports coincide with a note contained in one of Leire Díez’s diaries, a fact that went unnoticed by investigators for months, reading: Judge of Badajoz. La Celsa. Heroin and gypsy, with Cintia Rocho herself having confirmed to the UCO that La Celsa is her and that Sáenz de Tejada proposed attacking Biedma.
