MADRID, Spain – An alliance of interests is what the Socialist Party’s dirty operations sought when it contacted the Badajoz narco clan Los Rochos to coerce the judge handling the case against Pedro Sánchez’s brother. As revealed by Artículo14, former judge Luis José Sáenz de Tejada approached this dangerous drug clan operating in Badajoz in his campaign against Beatriz Biedma. But it was not simply a possible attempt to contract a service for an act of physical intimidation or, directly, a hitman, since the procedural benefits pursued went in both directions. Biedma has been investigating a case since December 2024 in which these drug traffickers are implicated.
PM’s Brother David Sánchez Convicted, Banned from Public Office for 9 Years
This avenue was activated by the former judge, expelled from the judiciary after a conviction handed down by Biedma for gender violence, when the dirty operations network saw that other initiatives against the judge were not obtaining the expected result of discrediting her and archiving the case against David Sánchez. From a plan to file a flood of lawsuits against Biedma, the approach shifted to coercion, and from there to the latest avenue, in which physical assaults were allegedly contemplated.
The note by Leire Díez reading “Judge of Badajoz. La Celsa. Heroin or gypsy” offers a clue, appearing on a page of an agenda corresponding to 25 March 2025. The date is especially relevant, as it came days after the rejection of the recusal promoted by Sáenz de Tejada, constituting a last and desperate strategy to remove the magistrate from the proceedings, involving very serious acts that could have endangered not only her reputation but even her physical integrity, according to Biedma’s filing. The rejection order was made public on 21 March 2025. The alliance between the Socialist Party’s dirty operations and Los Rochos would not have culminated or led to any violent act against Biedma because the drug clan, which has been behind seven shootings in Badajoz since 2019 with two dead and several wounded and is involved in extortion cases, was reportedly not convinced by the offer.
According to the investigation by Judge Santiago Pedraz and documented by the UCO, the dirty operations network developed specific activity to obtain and compile information relating to the magistrate, her personal, family and professional environment, as well as an intense discredit campaign carried out through complaints, publications and actions disseminated in digital media, social networks and particularly through the YouTube channel called Magistrado Anticorrupción TV, managed by Sáenz de Tejada himself. The filing states that while Sáenz de Tejada had already been denouncing magistrate Biedma since she intervened in the investigation of the criminal case in which he was ultimately convicted, it is evident that with the backing of the criminal group under investigation he took advantage of the media interest of the criminal proceedings against David Sánchez to multiply the effects and damage of the discredit campaign organised to harm the reputation of the investigating judge.

Regarding the complaints, according to the statement of Joaquín Parra, a member of this group along with Leire Díez, Javier Pérez Dolset and Sáenz de Tejada, it would have been Díez herself who indicated to Sáenz de Tejada that he should promote complaints against this magistrate before the State Attorney General’s Office, understanding that she had influence over that institution. One of them, signed by then State Attorney General Álvaro García Ortiz, reached the Badajoz Prosecutor’s Office, and the effect it had can be imagined. In addition to the complaints, numerous complaints were filed before the General Council of the Judiciary, with calls for rallies before the institution even being published on the channel, such as the one that took place on 7 April 2025, in which, according to his own statements on the channel, 30 citizens were urged to file complaints against this magistrate.
