CEUTA, Spain – The National Police has arrested two people after intervening to resuscitate a minor of Moroccan origin who allegedly suffered a sexual assault in the vicinity of El Trampolín beach in Ceuta. The incident occurred on Saturday at around midday, when a unit of the Police Intervention Unit was dispatched urgently to the shanty settlement area after receiving an alert.
Overwhelmed Police in Ceuta Report Daily Sexual Assaults
According to the police report, upon arriving at the scene officers located the victim in a critical state and immediately performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres. Shortly after the deployment, security forces arrested two male suspects, also of Moroccan nationality, for their alleged direct involvement in the rape.
The minor was evacuated by emergency services and transferred to the University Hospital of Ceuta to receive specialised medical attention and activate the corresponding judicial and assistance protocol.
