The tragedy unfolded last Saturday when the victim, identified locally as Dolors, left her home to take her dog for a walk. When the animal returned to the village alone, deeply concerned neighbors and family members immediately launched a search party. Later that evening, at approximately 11:00 p.m., the search concluded with the grim discovery of the elderly woman’s body in a nearby cornfield, located just 200 meters from the town center.
An initial forensic examination of the scene revealed clear and disturbing signs of extreme violence. Investigators determined that the assailant had attacked the victim with a bottle, inflicting severe lacerations and blunt force contusions. Preliminary assessments from the Government Sub-delegation indicated that the primary motive was robbery. This early finding led investigators to rule out gender-based violence as a factor, although the official determination of the motive remains pending as the forensic and criminal investigation continues.
