SOSES, Spain — An 18-year-old Moroccan national has been arrested by Catalan police in connection with the brutal murder of a 75-year-old woman in the village of Soses, Lleida, in what authorities suspect was a robbery attempt.

Following an intensive and rapid investigation, agents from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Mossos d’Esquadra successfully located and detained the suspect. The 18-year-old, who is also a resident of Soses, now faces severe charges related to the murder and robbery of the elderly woman.
